How to Find Help While Using Bukers Software
At Bukers, we offer many ways to obtain help while using our software.
  1. As you know, we update our software on an annual basis for any and all tax law changes that affect a cash flow analysis.  At the same time, we also update the help files for both Bukers Taxanalysis and Bukers BTA.   Our help topics are comprehensive and cover every aspect of navigating our software in a step by step process, complete with screen captures. To access the help files, click on the Help menu and then on either Help or Help Index. Clicking either will bring up the help feature of the software. At the top of the left section, you will see 4 tabs.
    Contents

This tab brings up a list of help topics (or Contents) on the left to choose from.  If you see a plus sign (+) next to a topic, click on it to show additional topics.

    Index

This tab shows an alphabetical list of help topics and keywords.  Type a keyword in at the top of the list to search the list. You can also scroll through the list to find what you are looking for.

    Search

This tab lets you type in a search term to bring up all topics that apply to your search.

    Favorites

If you find a topic that you refer to often, add it to Favorites.  After you have found your topic and see it displayed on the right side of the screen, click on the Favorites tab.  Make sure the name of your help topic is shown at the bottom left of the screen under Current Topic. Click on the Add button.  Now, when you need to refer to the topic again, it’s right there in your Favorites list.

  1. While our help indexes are a great way to show you how to navigate our software, we understand that sometimes the answers you are looking for go beyond navigation.  In those cases, our hotline is a valuable resource.  The hotline is a great resource if:
    • you have questions about how or where to spread something,
    • you have an out-of-balance on your BTA spread,
    • tax questions come up while you are working on a spread.

To reach our hotline call us at (503) 520-1303 or email us at support@taxanalysis.com.  Our hotline is free of charge and is reserved specifically for licensed software users.
